Nashville International Airport officials said they expect to see a record volume of passengers come through the airport this summer.
Nashville has become a hot-spot for vacationers and the airport's passenger volume has seen an 11 percent increase year over year.
BNA officials said they were working on a checkpoint expansion project planned for 2018 to keep up with the increasing volume of people, which could mean longer security wait times.
"There's a possibility you could see a 30 to 45 minute wait times at the TSA checkpoint, especially in the mornings when you're having that heaviest volume of passengers going through," said Mark Howell.
Howell suggested passengers get through the doors of the airport at least two hours before your flight.
