A body found in Oak Grove has been identified as missing 19-year-old De'Andre Marquis Palmer, and the teen believed to be responsible for his death has turned himself in.

Palmer of Clarksville was last seen in Oak Grove, Kentucky Saturday, July 16, which was also where the truck he was driving was found.

Kentucky State Police said Deqavion James, 18, turned himself in at the Hopkinsville Police Department just before 4 p.m. Wednesday, after warrants were issued for his arrest for murder, robbery and tampering with evidence.  He remains in the Christian County jail.

It was not known if it was a hate crime, but officials were looking into it.

Palmer's mother, Latisha Poole, said he was running an errand when he disappeared. "He was going to pick up a part for his car because he was going to move back to Georgia."

Family Gathers To Search For Missing Teen

Palmer's family had been searching for him for several days, hoping for a positive outcome, but was convinced foul play was involved.
