For the second time in less than one week, bovine have broken out of their home and ended up in an odd spot in Hermitage.

On Sunday, viewers sent NewsChannel 5 photos of cattle outside a gas station on Lebanon Road. Police helped wrangle the livestock back to their home that afternoon.

Just a few days later, three different cattle ended up in the middle of a subdivision just off Central Pike on Thursday. Debbie Jamieson's dogs kept a close eye on the intruders, who spent their time in front of an empty home that's currently for sale.

"We just laughed that they were checking out the house for sale behind us," she said "Those were going to be our new neighbors."

The escapees munched on grass for about half an hour Thursday before wandering away.

It's unclear if the livestock made it back where they belong.
