Bugs making mid-state cars a sticky mess

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Is your car getting a little sticky? It's likely because of Aphids.

Aphids are tiny, sap-sucking insects and their sticky secretions wind up on your car.

They have soft bodies and small heads and they suck the life out of all kinds of plants. They then secrete a substance called honeydew.

It's best to get the stuff off as quick as possible with a car wash.

If you let it get to a moldy stage, it will take multiple washes to get it off your vehicle. Another solution is a combination of bleach and detergent.
