After nearly three months, Ridgetop police have managed to obtain key surveillance video that may help them catch three criminals who broke into a local gas station in April.
It is video that the suspects tried to destroy by ripping out the DVR recording system inside of AM Express and trying to hide it in the woods. Police eventually found the video recorder and on Wednesday got the clips back from the TBI.
"It hurts, of course it hurts. It was night time so thank God nobody got hurt or anything," said store owner Deepak Patel.
The thieves who broke into his store stole hundreds of dollars in cash from a register and ATM. He's also had to spend thousands of dollars to repair a damaged security system.
Police are hoping that newly released video of the three suspects will result in new leads.
