A fugitive wanted out of California was taken into custody at the Omni Hotel in downtown Nashville.
According to an affidavit from Metro Nashville Police, employees called officers to the hotel Sunday afternoon after a man, identified as Arthur Jackson, burglarized guests’ rooms.
Officers stopped him, at which point he allegedly gave them a false name - Scott Johnson - and social security number.
Omni staff notified officers that Scott Johnson checked out of the hotel earlier in the morning so no one was supposed to be inside the room.
Police later learned he was wanted in California for burglary.
He was taken into custody. He’ll now face charges in both states.
