Mr. and Mrs. Clause made a stop in Nashville Monday night to help Governor Bill Haslam light the Capitol Christmas tree.
The tree was put up at the capitol last week, and was lit Gov. Haslam, First Lady Criss Haslam, Mr. and Mrs. Clause and stars from the “Nashville” TV show, Lennon and Maisy.
The rain pushed the event indoors, but it didn't stop anyone from catching the holiday spirit.
The duo sang some of their new songs as well as some Christmas classics.
The tree used to belong to a state employee and was planted in the yard after its first debut inside the woman's home back in 2001.
It's grown a lot since then making the 30-foot Norway spruce the perfect fit for the capitol.
