NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — An overnight crash jarred a Madison family out of bed when a car hit a tree right outside their home.
The incident happened around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday on West Monticello Avenue.
The family was asleep inside their home when a woman crashed into a tree in their front yard. The car then burst into flames.
The driver was injured; however, the extent of her injuries was unknown. It's not clear why she crashed.
The family says, had she missed the tree, the car could have ended up in their living room. It’s not known if any charges will be filed.
