For one Smashville celebrity, it's not always about throwing catfish.
Jake Waddell, also known as "Catfish Jake,” threw a big fundraiser to support families of children with congenital heart defects.
Waddell is known for being cited by police for throwing a catfish on the ice in 2017 in Pittsburgh.
Besides the party, there was a silent auction featuring sports and music memorabilia filled with signatures. Waddell said it's important to help causes you're passionate about.
The event was held to promote his charity golf tournament -- the first-ever Instrument of Crime Cup.
