Changes have gotten underway in East Nashville as a ceremonial groundbreaking was held Friday for the Hill Center Five Points.
The development will sit on Woodland Street next to the building that housed The Turnip Truck.
Along with retail space, the building will bring something people don't see very often on the east side of town.
“We'll have some offices, which is not really prevalent over here,” said Jimmy Granbery, Hill Center CEO. “We’ll add a restaurant in the old Turnip Truck building. We’ll add some other small retail shops, so just a small piece of the puzzle in the big puzzle.”
H.G. Hill Realty officials said they hope to complete the $2.5 million development in the summer or fall of 2016.
