The Charlie Daniels exhibit in the Country Music Hall of Fame was officials opened, and one of its first visitors was Charlie Daniels himself.
"Some of the awards we won. You can tell that they're old because they don't make them like that anymore. I still think that's the best looking one," said Daniels.
The "Charlie Daniels Million Mile Reflections" showcase includes pictures, awards, even a signed check from Elvis Presley.
He said although some of the stuff came off his own walls, he was surprised to see everything that made the showcase.
"Gosh I'm floored, I'm absolutely floored. One of the great things about the display and something I was really looking forward to seeing is these, course I'm familiar with all of these pieces here, some of them I haven't looked at in several years but uh it's like somebody and takes an elements of your life and souvenirs of your life and that sort of thing and arranges them in a way you would never think about," said Daniels.
Daniels was set to be inducted into the Hall of Fame next month just before his 80th birthday.
