Christmas parades in Middle Tennessee: Get ready for the most wonderful time of the year

(WTVF) — Holiday season is finally here and there's no better way to get in the spirit than a community parade.

There will be several holiday parades around Middle Tennessee this year. Below is a list of where and when you can catch one.

Manchester: Saturday, November 30 at 6:30 p.m.
Following the City of Manchester's "Rockin Around the Christmas Tree" parade will be a tree lighting ceremony on the Square at 7:30 p.m.

Lebanon: Sunday, December 1 at 2 p.m.
This year, Lebanon will be celebrating its 200th holiday parade with "A Hometown Christmas."

Smyrna: Sunday, December 1 at 2 p.m.
This year's theme is "A Tennessee Christmas." The Smyrna community will be celebrating the parade's 45th year.

Columbia: Monday, December 2 at 7 p.m.
"Jingle Around the Clock" for the community's annual Christmas Parade in historic Downtown Columbia.

Nashville: Saturday, December 7 at 8:30 a.m.
Nashville's annual Christmas Parade benefits Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. This year's parade will be emceed by Hayley Orrantia.

Franklin: Saturday, December 7 at 2 p.m.
Celebrate the holiday season in Downtown Franklin. The city will light a Christmas tree on the square the night before the parade.

Goodlettsville: Saturday, December 7 at 4 p.m.
This year's theme is "Home for the Holidays."

Clarksville: Saturday, December 7 at 5 p.m.
The Clarksville Christmas Parade is celebrating 60 years with the theme "Christmas through the Ages."

Murfreesboro: Sunday, December 8 at 2 p.m.
Judge Don Ash was named the Grand Marshal for this year's parade, which is themed "The Sounds of Christmas."

Mount Juliet: Saturday, December 14 at 11 a.m.
This year's theme is "Toy Story Christmas" with Grand Marshals Woody, Buzz and Bo Peep.

Gallatin: Saturday, December 14 at 12 p.m.
"Christmas at the Movies" will be emceed by Cathy Martindale and HD Wheeler.

Leiper's Fork: Saturday, December 14 at 2 p.m.
Enjoy a good ole fashioned country Christmas parade with cows, goats, pigs, antique tractors and more.

Donelson-Hermitage: Saturday, December 14 at 2 p.m.
This will be the parade's 35th year.

Spring Hill: Saturday, December 14 at 5 p.m.
The 12th annual Spring Hill Christmas Parade is themed "Christmas at the Movies."

Paris: Saturday, December 14 at 5 p.m.
Come on out before the Holly Jolly "Electric" Christmas Parade and explore the Downtown Christmas festival.

Hopkinsville, Ky.: Saturday, December 14 at 5:15 p.m.
This year's theme is "What does Christmas teach us?" The Grand Marshal of the parade has been named Alissa Young, Hopkinsville Community College president.

Cookeville: Saturday, December 14 at 6 p.m.
This year's theme is "Christmas Movie Memories."
