Members of the Lebanon City Council have voted to have Rick Bell replace former council woman, Kathy Warmath.

Council took the vote during a special city council meeting Thursday night.

Bell is the Lebanon city historian. He serves on the Planning Commission, and is a Cumberland University professor.

Warmath resigned last week after being arrested for allegedly showing up to the council meeting drunk.

However, she said she was impaired because of a bad reaction to prescribed medication.

She served as a member of the Lebanon City Council for more than 20-years.
