Council and community members of parts of South Nashville discussed a road widening project in a public meeting.
Council members from district 4, 27 and 31 talked about the Nolensville Road project during the meeting Thursday night.
The two lane road is part of a plan to widen the stretch or road to 5 lanes with additional bike lanes.
The meeting served as an opportunity for community members to come forward and help lock down a development plan before the widening project begins.
The start date for the widening project had not been locked in yet, but they wanted to make sure all plans were final before any construction began.
