City leaders have proposed creating a Greenway along Interstate 440 in Nashville.
The greenway would be located on the side of the interstate for pedestrians and cyclists.
The elevated, 6-mile stretch would run along the 440 corridor.
It was estimated to cost about $70 million. Officials with the Metro Parks Department have applied for a federal grant to help pay for part of the project.
