CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A man ran into the side of a vehicle trying to cross Providence Blvd. in Clarksville early Friday morning.

According to Clarksville police, the 24-year-old male first crossed the northbound lanes near the 900 block of Providence Blvd. before pausing in the center turning lane.

At that point, he attempted to run across the southbound lanes, when he collided with the side of a Hyundai Santa Fe being driven by a 23-year-old woman.

The man was taken to Skyline Medical Center for evaluation and treatment. He was conscious and aware when he was transported.

There is no traffic light or crosswalk in the area the man attempted to cross.

Traffic was interrupted for about an hour and a half. No charges are pending for this incident.
