Officers investigated an attempted kidnapping in Clarksville after a report of two men unsuccessfully tried to pick up children playing outside.
A mother told Clarksville Police officers that her children were playing near Melrose and Southwood Drive Tuesday evening when two men in a burgundy truck got their attention.
She said they asked for their names, and told them to hop in the truck. The little girls ran away, and the driver sped off.
Police said two other children have since come forward, saying they were followed by a similar truck several weeks ago.
The children described them men as middle-aged and Hispanic. They said one had a thin beard and straight black hair, and the other had a thicker beard and wore a dark hat.
The burgundy truck they were in was described as a Chevy Z-71.
Officials asked anyone with information to call the CrimeStoppers TIPS Hotline at 931-645-8477.
