CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Clarksville Transit System will close its downtown Transit Center on Legion Street for several months starting Monday, April 22 to accommodate renovations.

Buses will pick up and drop off riders on Legion Street. Dispatcher and rider services will be relocated to the Downtown Commons ticket booth located at the corner of Second Street and Legion Street.

The nearby Clarksville Transit Garage will also be closed for about two months on April 29. Customers have been notified by letter, but can relocate to a limited number of spaces in the Cumberland Garage or the Main Street parking lot while the Clarksville Transit Garage is closed.

The renovations of the Transit Center are expected to be completed in September, and will comprise a new roof, new clock, new landscaping, seating, repaired sidewalks, ADA-compliant ramps, new paint, wallpaper and flooring.
