NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — It's easy to get down in a world so focused on image and perfection. Now there's a Nashville a clothing line, created with positive self-talk in mind.
"My eyes are drawn to the things I want to change and I think we've all got things about ourselves that we wish were different," said founder Jessica Stillman.
Stillman is no stranger to the reflective surface, or feelings of inadequacy.
"I actually grew up in the competitive dance world so standing in front of a mirror all day long in high school took a toll on me a lot," she said.
Now a teacher and a choreographer in Franklin, she's using her clothing line The Mirror Project to change the words we think -- about ourselves.
The words don't make sense straight-on, but look in the mirror and you'll see positive messages like "brave," "strong," and "enough."
She hopes her designs reflect our true selves.
