NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Colonial Pipeline has confirmed they have completed repairs on their fuel lines near Nashville International Airport (BNA), restoring service to them.
Colonial Pipeline first responded to a fuel leak Tuesday afternoon when a third party contractor struck a pipeline while completing work at BNA. As a precaution, Colonial - the company that operates the impacted fuel lines - shut down Lines 19 and 20, which run from Atlanta to Nashville.
Line 20 was confirmed to have not been impacted by the rupture, and service to it was restored around 10:25 p.m. Tuesday evening.
Now, Colonial has confirmed Line 19 has been repaired, with service to it also restored.
Line 19 transports gasoline, while Line 20 transports distillate fuels.
The recent fuel leak at BNA is only the latest in Colonial Pipeline's leak history.
