NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A mid-state man has been out of business after thieves stole all the tools connected to his construction work.

Justin McCrory said he hired two men from Craigslist, and they worked for him for four days before he left them alone on the job site.

When he came back, a stranger was leaving.

“I'm pulling in the driveway, there's this gentleman in a silver S-10, white male, tattoo on the left arm, little bit kind of longer hair, 2000-ish model S-10,” McCrory said. “I’m waiting to pull in, he’s waiting to pull out. He doesn’t move, he sits there like this, and I’m flagging him, ‘Come on man, move, move. I’m backing traffic up.’ He pulls out crazy fast, and I thought, ‘What’s wrong with this guy?’ I thought he was looking for a place to live, looking for a job.”

The two men were acting oddly, and that's when McCrory checked his trailer and noticed all his tools were gone.

The men disappeared soon after that. Metro Police said they believe the three guys have been pulling this scam repeatedly.

Anyone with further information on this crime has been urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-74-CRIME (615-742-7463).
