NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A convicted robber has been charged with criminal homicide in the shooting death of a man during a home invasion robbery.

Officials said 21-year-old Terry E. Fisher, Jr. was charged Thursday in the death of 26-year-old Andre Cooper. The incident happened January 8 at Cooper’s home on Kings Lane.

Investigators said sufficient evidence was found to directly link Fisher to the crime scene, and they added they believe Cooper was specifically targeted for the robbery.

Fisher pled guilty to robbery in march, receiving a nine-year probated sentence.

Police said Fisher was recently arrested for violating his probation, so he was already in jail when the murder warrant was issued.
