NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A correctional officer at the Riverbend Maximum Security Institution was arrested after she allegedly tried to sneak in two cell phones inside her dinner.

As Correctional Officer Evelisse Erika Maas went through the security checkpoint Saturday evening, the x-ray machine spotted a cell phone in her bag.

A correctional officer then searched the bag and found two cell phones hidden in a container of hamburger macaroni.

Maas was interviewed and admitted that she purchased and brought the phones in the prison for an inmate.

She was charged with introduction of a telecommunication device in a prison.
