Couple arrested after attacking neighbors with pocket knife, stick

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A couple was arrested after they attacked their neighbors with a pocket knife and a stick early Saturday morning.

According to Metro police, officers responded to a home invasion on the 1000 block of 23rd Avenue North. When they arrived, they learned the suspects had come to the duplex armed with the knife and stick.

One of the suspects tried to kick down the door, but failed. When one of the two victims opened the door, the suspects pushed into the apartment.

During the struggle, the suspect armed with a knife stabbed a victim in the leg. The suspect with the stick struck the other victim over the head. None of the injuries were life-threatening, and both victims were treated at the scene.

Afterwards, the suspects ran back to their apartment on the other side of the duplex. Officers found them there and arrested them.

The investigation of this incident is ongoing.
