Couple Arrested On Drug, Shoplifting Charges

A Nashville couple was arrested after police caught them with $5,000 worth of stolen merchandise from the CoolSprings Galleria.

Franklin Police officers arrested 25-year-old Danny Jackson and 27-year-old Latosha Cooper on April 14.

An officer said he smelled marijuana when he stopped the couple for an equipment violation.

While searching the car, the officer not only found  Marijuana and drug paraphernalia, but also found more than $1,000 worth of stolen, high-end bottles of cologne and perfume, and nearly $4,000 in stolen, designer eyeglass frames.

Jackson, a convicted felon, was charged with two counts of Felony Theft, Marijuana Possession, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Driving on a Revoked License, and Registration Violation.

Cooper was charged with two counts of Felony Theft, and Marijuana Possession.

Both were booked into the Williamson County Jail on $10,000 bonds. They were scheduled to appear in court April 28 at 1:00 pm.
