NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A retired couple has been collecting old pumpkins and donating them to a family in North Nashville raising pigs who like to eat them.
Peter and Jeannine Brush were purchasing eggs from the Albright family of Annie Acres Farms in Nashville when they noticed pieces of pumpkin in the back of their truck.
The Albrights told them they're breeding pigs named George, Pepper, Bob and Ruby and they love pumpkins, especially the old squishy ones.
Since then, the Brush Family has been collecting pumpkins from their neighbors and donating them to the Albright family.
Last year, they donated around 400 pumpkins, and they're on track to do just as well this year.
