NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A 21-year-old Nashvillian was killed in a crash on Interstate 40 Tuesday afternoon.
Metro Nashville Police say the driver was speeding in his 2014 Ford Fusion in the far left lane on I-40 East when he lost control in the curve just before the Broadway exit.
Police say the car crossed all three lanes, the exit ramp to Broadway and hit a rock wall head-on.
The man was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene, according to police. Officers said they did not find any physical evidence of impairment.
Officials did not release his name since they are still trying to contact the man's family.
