A massive fire at a vacant warehouse in downtown Nashville has been deemed suspicious by investigators.

Crews with the Nashville Fire Department were called to the scene at 3rd Avenue and Harrison Street around 2 a.m. Friday.

The building on fire was said to be an abandoned Chromemasters warehouse.

"We called our investigator out because it's a vacant building with no utilities and we haven't had any storms, no lightning. So it's suspicious," said District Fire Chief Tim Moyers.

Crews said they will be on the scene through the morning. Smoke and flames could be scene for miles coming into downtown Nashville.

No one was hurt. The building was a total loss.
