An ammonia leak prompted a response from Hazmat crews at the Tyson Foods Plant in Goodlettsville.
The incident was reported during shift change Thursday morning at the plant located on Cartwright Street.
A fire official on the scene said the leak started around 5:30 a.m. Six people were evaluated and two were taken to area hospitals with noncritical injuries.
Sky 5 flew over the area and showed multiple first responders on the scene.
It’s unclear at this point what caused the leak. It was stopped before 7 a.m.
The plant could reopen around 8:30 a.m as soon as the building airs out.
