CROSSVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A Crossville teacher charged with sexual battery by an authority figure has died.
school officials confirmed the report Thursday.
Michael Speich was accused of sexually abusing a minor. He was a math teacher and county commissioner, who was charged with sexual battery by an authority figure and providing alcohol to a minor.
According to WVLT News, his death was announced a commission meeting in Cumberland County on Thursday night, the board chairman said Speich had passed away. The chairman did not give a cause of death, but the board held a moment of silence after the announcement.
