The teacher accused of abducting a student out of Maury County and taking her across the country is on his way back to Tennessee.
Sources confirmed to NewsChannel 5 that Tad Cummins is being moved by U.S. Marshals in one of their prisoner transport aircrafts, sometimes referred to as "Con Air."
However, the flight is not just for Cummins.
The plane is expected to hopscotch across the country, picking up and dropping off inmates in various cities. It could be a day or two, possibly even a few weeks, before Cummins finally gets back to Tennessee.
His current whereabouts were unknown, but he’s no longer in federal detention in Sacramento.
