A former Major League Baseball star has been attempting to help victims of Hurricane Harvey, but he hit a slight snag in Wilson County.
Former All-Star pitcher Curt Schilling became stranded on Interstate 40 in Wilson County on Saturday afternoon.
He was driving a truck full of donations from Boston to Texas when the truck broke down. He said he lost an axle and needed a new trailer.
NewsChannel 5 was on the scene when Schilling found out a new vehicle was on the way thanks for help from viewers. Volunteers helped transfer the items into the new truck.
