NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A search is underway in Nashville after three men robbed several customers inside a convenience store.
The incident happened Monday night at a Twice Daily's gas station on Charlotte Avenue.
Officials with Metro Police said the men walked into the store around 9:45 p.m. while several patrons were there.
The suspects robbed several customers of their personal property before one of the men opened fire and shattered a light fixture.
At that point, one of the men asked the clerk to retrieve money from the safe. When she told them she didn't know how to open it, the three men ran away.
The clerk was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she was treated and released after being hit by some of the shattered glass.
A large police presence responded to the scene and used K9 officers in an attempt to track the men. However, the dogs were not able to locate them.
The gas station was open to customers as of Tuesday morning.
Anyone with information was asked to call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
