NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — An investigation got underway overnight in Nashville after cyclists spotted a man’s body floating in the Cumberland River.

Two cyclists spotted the body around 2:45 p.m. Sunday, at the Greenway Bridge at Two Rivers Court and called 911.

The Nashville Fire Department launched a boat and retrieved the body near the Shelby Park boat ramp. The person's identity was not immediately known.

The circumstances of the death remain under investigation.
