Daughter of country music legend Glen Campbell spoke at the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America Conference.
She spoke at Thursday’s event about caring for someone with Alzheimer’s disease.
Ashley Campbell was right out of college when her dad was diagnosed with the disease.
She said she just wishes she knew more before his diagnosis, and hopes to educate others.
"Going back to before my dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s; I wish I had already known more than I did. I wish there was more public awareness about what it does to someone. It’s not just memories loss. It's not like in the movies where he's like 'oh he forgot to put on his pants,” said Campbell.
Last year, Ashley released a song called "Remembering" about her father and her childhood memories.
