NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Mayoral candidate David Fox took the opportunity to speak out against what he calls controversial ads.
Fox held a gathering at Hadley Park Friday.
He said the latest round of ads from Megan Barry and her supporters have been race baiting.
Fox added he has a lot of supporters of various ethnic backgrounds.
"I am thankful to have the support of so many people in the African-American community, and I’ve spoken to many African-Americans around the community in the last few days who were very upset by the tenor of what we’re seeing coming from the other camp,” Fox said.
Those ads were sponsored by the Tennessee Democratic Party.
