MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WTVF) — Tennessee Bureau of Investigation agents are looking into the death of a Murfreesboro Police Officer.
Officer Derek Toriq Qadir was found dead at his Murfreesboro residence at the 900 block of Robert Rose Drive Tuesday afternoon.
Police Chief Michael Bowen and District Attorney General Jennings Jones requested the TBI to investigate the officer's death.
The preliminary investigation does not show signs of foul play, according to officials.
Murfreesboro Police officials released the news of the Officer Qadir's death with "deep sorrow."
