Officials with the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office has asked for the public's help to identify a man they believe stole checks from a mailbox.
Detectives said the theft happened on June 16 on Manus Road in Rutherford County.
The checks were cashed at Food City grocery store in Vonore in East Tennessee.
The man was described as a white man wearing sunglasses, baseball cap, blue polo shirt, and dark cargo shorts. He was also believed to have been traveling in a silver, 4-door, car.
Police asked anyone with information to call Detective Steve Brown at 615-904-3052 and leave a message.
