While many people are celebrating the holiday with good food surrounded by friends and family, it can be a hard day for the homeless.

Doc Holliday's Saloon and Room In The Inn teamed up to provide free haircuts and coats to those in need.

The saloon opened its doors from 8 a.m. until noon for anyone who dropped by looking for some comfort.
Joseph Smith came in for fresh cut.

He said the haircut gave him a self-esteem boost and he hopes it'll help him land a new job.

"It hurts being away from family and going through tough times on Thanksgiving and Christmas, but it makes the holiday a little better," said Smith. "You get to feel the love and you know the human race still has a chance."

More than 50 people came in for a haircut on Thanksgiving. Any extra coats were taken to Room In The Inn.
