FRANKLIN, Tenn. – It has been a happy ending for a lucky pit bull named Louie.
The 3-year old dog was rescued from a property in Williamson County with a gaping neck wound.
The wound required sixty staples to close. Williamson County Animal Center officials said they believe the wound was from an embedded collar, and they added it was the worst case they had ever seen.
Thanks to the good samaritans who saved Louie, he has received a second chance at life. He has been recovering to be ready for adoption.
Anyone who has seen an animal that looks like it needs help has been urged to call your local animal control center.
