A driver took out three power poles overnight to avoid hitting an animal, police said.
The incident happened around 2:15 a.m. Thursday on Charlotte Avenue.
According to officials with Metro Nashville Police, the driver said she swerved to avoid an animal when she lost control and hit the poles.
Part of Charlotte Avenue was shut down for several hours but has since reopened.
Crews with the Nashville Electric Service were called to the scene to restore power.
