Drug Court To Be Audited

The Davidson County Drug Court started by Judge Casey Moreland is facing an audit.

Presiding Judge Gale Robinson said yesterday that he requested that Metro conduct an independent audit of the General Sessions Drug Court and related programs to the court.

He has also requested an independent audit of the Drug Court Foundation.

Because the Foundation is not part of Metro Government the audit request was sent to the Drug Court Foundation's Board of Directors.

Judge Robinson took over Drug Court cases last month after Judge Casey Moreland stepped aside.

Moreland faces questions from the FBI and the Board of Judicial Conduct for providing preferential treatment to a female friend.

Judge Robinson says he is not aware of any problems with the Court's finances.  He just wants an accounting now that he is in charge.
