The annual Earth Day Festival got underway this weekend at Centennial Park.
There was live music throughout the day on Saturday, and the mayor's Citywide Spring Cleanup allowed people to help make our city even more beautiful.
Mayor David Briley spoke to attendees about what he called the immense environmental benefits the Let's Move Nashville transit program will have on the city.
He said those benefits included up to $7 million in annual savings from reduced carbon pollution, which was described as the equivalent of planting one million mature trees.
