NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Interstate 440 has been closed to eastbound traffic due to an overturned vehicle.
Those with the Tennessee Department of Transportation said a semi hauling shingles overturned in the eastbound lanes of the interstate near Exit 7, which leads to Interstate 24 eastbound and Chattanooga.
The wreck happened around 7:15 p.m. Friday and closed the roadway to eastbound traffic. Traffic was being diverted.
Westbound traffic was not affected.
Crews estimated the roadway would be clear by midnight.
