Before heading back into the classroom, one school decided to have a little fun.
Gra-Mar Middle Prep held their second annual "Hot Diggity Dog" back to school bash Saturday.
In addition to the fun activities, students got free haircuts, school supplies, and backpacks.
While their kids played, parents learned about school resources.
Gra-Mar has been a community school, which means they actively work with businesses and parents so kids get what they need.
Saturday's goal was to combine all these things in one place for easy access.
"Having our families be able to come to one place where they can get all the assistance they need in a couple of hours, it means a lot," Joy Pillow-Jones said.
The school also provided 200 families with groceries.
