Kids haven’t been the only ones who get nervous about going back to school, as many parents have worried about the dangers their kids may face.
That's why Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, King Solomon Baptist Church, and the organization "Partners in the Struggle" came together Saturday to pray for our kids safety.
"It's very, very important that we keep our kids covered with prayer,” said Bishop Marcus Campbell. “They are challenged with so many different things in their lives as teenagers with peer pressure, drugs, everything is there, you know, bullying, so we want to keep them covered you know as they go back to school, so they can get a great education and no harm and danger would come unto them."
Campbell also said for those who want to help but may not have kids, they can provide clothing and school supplies or volunteer to tutor through Metro Schools.
