It was a big coup for Cumberland University. They are curators of the presidential papers project for Martin Van Buren.
The 8th President served under Andrew Jackson and helped solidify the modern two-party landscape of Democrats and Republicans.
The project is being led by Cumberland University's Dr. Mark Cheathem.
