The Director of Schools - Search Advisory Committee held its final meeting Friday night after six months of searching.
The committee was created after the first round of candidates fell through last summer.
The group's goal was to narrow down what type of leader the school district needs, and to provide the board with a roadmap for the search.
A list of candidates for Metro's next Director of Schools could soon be released. Those with Metro Schools said they hope to have the position filled by spring.
The committee will now take their findings to the school board.
