Metro Nashville Public Schools will host the first of three forums to let the community hear from its director of schools candidates.
Shawn Joseph, Deputy Superintendent of Teaching and Learning for Prince George’s County Public Schools (MD), is speaking at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Maplewood High School.
Parents can hear from him, as well as share their greatest concerns.
The forums continue Wednesday and Thursday evening at Creswell Middle Prep and Overton High School, respectively.

Joseph, along with Jesus Jara and H. Allen Smith, were selected to move on to the second round of interviews.
Jara is the Deputy Superintendent at Orange County Public Schools (FL), while Smith is the Chief of Schools at Oakland Unified School District (CA).
