The program "Music Makes Us" at H.G. Hill Middle School gives students the chance to increase their musical expertise and awareness.
The students take part in not only various school musical groups, but also performances. They're even given new instruments, and equipment.
The program gives students a chance to strengthen traditional school music, while adding a contemporary aspect to their learning.
The students have actually learned how to read music, in the unique way that many working Nashville musicians are using today.
It's hoped, that if the students decide carry their love for music past graduation, they'll be able to compete with working musicians in Music City and other entertainment capitols.
